North West Cohesion in Schools
The North West Cohesion in Schools (NWCiS) training package offers an opportunity for schools to assess and address issues of community cohesion in their setting. Using an audit tool, areas of strength and areas for possible further development will be identified to inform a bespoke training package based on the needs of the setting. The training will take place over two workshops. In the first workshop, school staff are provided with an overview of community cohesion in schools and a priority area for development is identified, based on the results of the audit tool. The second workshop then develops the knowledge and skills of staff in the identified area of focus and supports them to generate an action plan to develop school-wide practice.
